Thank you for your interest in becoming part of our Wee Know teaching team!  We are always accepting applications for part time and full time employment.  If we do not have any positions available at the time you apply, we always keep applicant’s information on file for the future.  

Teachers for our main location:

September - June: serving children 2 ½ to 5 yrs.

June - August: serving children 3 yrs. (by Aug. 31st) to 11 yrs.

Offsite:

Hartland North Elementary Before/After School Care: 4K - 2nd grade 

St. Charles Elementary School After School Care: 3K - 6th grade

Present Opportunities

Position: Early Childhood Lead Teacher

Position begins: Negotiable

Location: Wee Know School 

Ages: 3 year olds 

Hours per week: 30 - 40

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's, Associates degree, certification or training in early childhood or related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide the children with a safe, loving and nurturing environment.

  • To interact with children and to encourage their involvement in activities. 

  • To meet children's needs in all areas-physical, emotional, social and intellectual.

  • To prepare with the lead teacher the weekly lesson plans and to provide the materials needed for the center activities.

  • To carry out appropriate and positive discipline as established by the lead teacher.

  • To ensure that the program goals are implemented. 

  • To function and help build a supportive team.

  • To assist in maintaining files of children in classroom (observations, portfolio entries, evidence of activities reflecting developmental growth, etc. 

  • To maintain a room arrangement that is safe, inviting, interesting and stimulating.

  • To be sensitive and responsive to parents and to act as a resource person for them. 

  • To attend monthly staff meetings as requested.

  • To complete 25 (or more) annual hours of Continuing Education.

  • Other duties as assigned.
